Hundreds of children and families enjoyed a holiday train ride on the 2025 "North Pole Limited trains in December. Numerous runs on December 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21 carried passengers through Steamtown and nearby Scranton neighborhoods with music and holiday cheer.
Santa and Ms. Claus walked through the trains, greeting every child and posing for photos. These trips were sponsored by the Iron Horse Society with support from Steamtown and the ARHS .Our ARHS-restored F3A locomotive #664 operated flawlessly, so the ARHS volunteer mechanic, riding along "just in case," could ride the cushions and enjoy the event. As a partner, we continue to keep the #664 in good repair and make it available for various special events.
