Members are encouraged to contact Olev Taremae or an ARHS Board Member to present their programs or contacts of people who can present programs related to Anthracite Railroads, e.g., slides, films, videos, DVD’s, or digital programs, or visits to model railroads, as programs are continually needed.
Doug Peters will present his program on the history of the Allentown & Reading Traction Company. This program is not just for trolley enthusiasts. Historic views of Kutztown and other lineside towns are fascinating.
Larry Eastwood will present a program on the Reading Railroad. The title is To West Trenton and Beyond. The program covers the line to West Trenton and then onward to Bound Brook. There are also views on the Central Railroad of New Jersey from Bound Brook to Jersey City.
Bob Wilt will be the presenter in a program covering the Delaware & Hudson.
Olev Taremae’s program will be on SEPTA’s Rail Division – the Reading Side. The program focuses on rail operations occurring on the parts of the SEPTA system that had once belonged to the Reading Company. This will include both SEPTA’s own operations and also operations conducted by other railroads and entities.
Shake off the snow on your boots, Dave Augsburger will again dip into his slide collection to show us the East Penn Line.
Dale Woodland will make a presentation about his favorite railroad, the Reading. The program will focus on F units.
Not all Anthracite carrying railroads are in eastern Pennsylvania. Robert Phillips will share a program he has developed about railroads built to carry anthracite coal in Alaska.
Paul Kutta is back by popular demand. The topic is yet unknown, but with Paul we know that it will be entertaining.
Richard Jahn will be the presenter. Program details will be know closer to the date of the program.
