We are very close to finishing the design phase of the long awaited resin cast shell and are ready to take pre-order deposits. The model is expected to be ready by the end of this year.
This will be a phase II CNJ freight Babyface diesel with the basic shape represented by unit #72 thru #79. Due to variations on each specific unit this model will represent one specific unit number.
The original screening is what is known as hardware cloth and was a very fine mesh. This will be represented as a textured area integral to the body sides.
Steps, horns and window glazing will be included as separate pieces to be added by the modeler.
Air intake covers will also be supplied to be added to the rear roof area by the modeler but they will only be the standard Baldwin design. CNJ added extensions to these that varied in length from unit to unit and at different time periods.
The shell will be designed to be an easy fit onto a PK2 FA2 mechanism supplied by the modeler.
We will be working with a decal manufacturer to have decals made but these will not be part of the kit.
The price has been set at $110.00 for each kit either A unit or B unit.
