This site started out as an attempt to share what I've learned through reading, research and my experiences in building my own HO scale LVRR New York Division, circa 1972-76, and the models that populate it. Your responses to my efforts have encouraged me to expand the scope to cover earlier eras and other scales, and I'd like to do that, but I'll need your help!

First, I am not an expert on the LVRR. Almost everything I know (or think I know) about "The Valley" has come from books and magazine articles, from the several LVRR web sites and e-groups, and from talking to or corresponding with other LVRR fans and modelers, especially members of the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society. Secondly, even if I knew or had access to all the information that belongs in an expanded LVRR Modeler, I wouldn't have the time to put it together by myself - I still want to have time to build my layout!

So, I'm asking for your participation. If you have data on the LVRR or models of it that you would like to share, please let me know. I hope I'll be able to add your name to the list of Contributors at the bottom of this page. I also need Contributing Editors to help in organizing the information that will appear on this site by filling in the tables of data, designing new pages, etc. LVRR Modeler also contains articles on how to model the prototype LVRR. I can't compete with any of the fine model railroad magazines by offering payment, but you will get the instant gratification in seeing your work in print! Finally, even if you can't offer data, articles or editorial help, you can improve the Lehigh Valley Railroad Modeler through your suggestions for improvements. Let me know where the holes and mistakes are, what other things you'd like to see, or how I could improve what's already on the site. Whether you participate as a contributor or a reader - Enjoy!
