The
convention will be in Hazelton, Pennsylvania. The dates are Oct.
31, Nov. 1, and 2, 2008. Saturday presenters thus far are: Dave
Augsburger, Mike Bednar, Tom Biery, Bob Mohowski, and Rich Taylor.
ARHS
encourages all members and guests who plan to attend the Society's
convention in Hazleton, PA on Oct. 31-Nov. 2 to bring with them
any models which they would like to display. Any guage, any subject.
Although there are not at this time any specific plans for a model
contest, the Society recognizes that modelling is a significant
part of our activity, and any opportunity to show off one's handiwork
and share ideas about successes and failures with other members
is worth taking advantage of.
Vendors: Tables will be available for rent by vendors during the
duration of the convention. Please contact Tom Posatko directly
at 302-655-5518 during the day to reserve your table. Table space
will be limited, so you are encouraged to call promptly if you
wish to reserve a table.

The ARHS announces with regret that its EMD F3 units will
not be on display at the upcoming Steamtown sponsored Lackawanna
Railfest 2007. Unresolved insurance issues and the cost of moving
the equipment led to this decision. The Society will be there with
a table in the adjacent Trolley Museum. Our Reading RS3 467 (Leased
to the Delaware Lackawanna RR) will also be on display in the yard
area. There are a lot of interesting things to see and do at this
event. We urge our members and friends to attend.

Work will resume on the FA-2 later this Spring. This will include
additional rewiring work, body and paint work and replacement of broken
windows. Work may also resume on the F3 B unit, if time, manpower
and money permits. Work sessions at Winslow Jct. are generally on
weekends. We can always use more help. Get involved in your Society.
