The ARHS is excited to announce the publication of a 24-page vintage brochure about Budd Rail Diesel Cars (RDCs.) This is packed with photos and data for historians and modelers. The Philadelphia-based company built 398 of these self-propelled passenger cars, in 5 variations, between 1949 to 1962.
Railroads across the USA and Canada used these cars into the Amtrak era and beyond. The Lehigh Valley, Central RR of New Jersey, Reading and Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines had fleets of these cars.
